An Overview
As stated above, Outreach Programs are planned in partnership with the collaborators in the five southern states of India and are conducted in these states. They are local in nature addressing specific needs of the organization with whom the institute partners or as the issue emerge. Regional language is used in the Outreach Programs.

From 1993 onwards, the Institute began to organize Outreach Programs in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. But the units themselves were established only 2001, after a lot of discussions, deliberations and decision.

Democratization of knowledge is the underlying foundation of Outreach Programs. All the Outreach Programs are designed to equip our partners with a rational knowledge of socio-cultural realities, effective animation skills and egalitarian value perspective.

Grassroots activists, cadres and leaders of people’s movements, college students, and elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions are the ones who are making use of the Outreach Programs.

At present, Outreach Programs are planned and organized in the following five states: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telengana.
