“I am Ms. Deepa, hailing from Bhadrapur, Mudgod, Karnataka. I completed my schooling at Loyola School. I wanted to pursue my studies but did not have the financial means. My father is a daily wage labourer and my mother is a housewife. I approached my school and they put me in contact with Ashirvad, Bangalore. I was given educational assistance of Rs 7,000 and I am currently studying Banking and Finance at St. Joseph’s Community College, Bangalore. I am determined to excel in my studies. I dream of getting a job in a firm soon after my studies and support my family.”
Another student Ms. Lakshmi also received financial support of Rs 9,000 for tuition fees and she is studying Banking and Finance at St. Joseph’s Community College, Bangalore.
Mr. K Murthy, a resident of KS Garden, is a driver and his wife works as a domestic worker. They have two children; the eldest daughter is in the second year of B. Com and the younger son is in Class X. Murthy developed severe pain in one of his legs. The pain got worsened after a few weeks and he was unable to walk. MRI Scan indicated a nerve issue, near the spine that caused severe pain. A surgery was done, successfully. In the post-operative ward, Murthy was affected with Aspiration Pneumonia and had to be shifted to the ICU and put on the ventilator. The family was devastated by huge bills. Ashirvad supported the family for medicines worth Rs 13,260. At present Mr. Murthy is recovering.
Mr. Ramajayam E is a resident of KS Garden and a plumber by profession. Mr Ramajayam had a heart issue 6 years ago and was asked to take medicines lifelong. The medicines eventually led to blood clots in the legs and Ramajayam could not walk. He underwent vascular surgery to remove the clots. Ashirvad supported him by paying bills worth Rs 10,000.
