The three-day training program conducted by the Indian Social Institute in Bengaluru had a significant impact on 35 young participants, who gained a deeper understanding of their roles within their families and society. During the workshop, these youths engaged in both individual and group activities that encouraged them to reflect on their strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations. This self-discovery enhanced their self-awareness and bolstered their self-confidence, self-esteem, and leadership qualities.

Kanchana from CSST NGO said that attending the Self and Society training program changed her life. It made her feel refreshed and more confident. The motivational sessions showed her that she can do good things for her community. She feels more motivated and wants to use what she has learned to help others. Rajesh from PSO NGO said that he really enjoyed the training program. He learned about the importance of unity and teamwork in reaching goals. The sessions taught him how to handle real-life challenges and think clearly. He also learned how to speak in public, which was difficult for him before. Now, he feels confident that he can motivate others and be a good leader. Mukunda said, this training program motivated me a lot. It helped me understand myself better and know what I am good at and where I need to improve. I learned how to inspire others, which is important for being a good leader. Bharathi said, attending the Self and Society training program was a great experience for me. It taught me how to think clearly and be confident in myself. I learned not to compare myself to others and to focus on my own growth. The program encouraged me to take the lead and set a good example. I now see the importance of helping others and being useful to my community. Fr. Vinod and Mr. Vijay Kumar resource persons, inspired the youth to cultivate a positive self for personal development. They highlighted the significance of fostering unity within the community to tackle social challenges. By the end of the training, the participants shared that they felt motivated to cultivate social ethics and moral values in their lives.

As a facilitator, I am excited to see the youth embracing their responsibilities towards their community. With 23 males and 12 females actively participating, their enthusiasm and commitment were evident throughout the training. It’s inspiring to watch them grow, as they show a genuine dedication to both their personal development and making a positive impact on their communities.
