On 8th December 2024, a pre-Christmas get-together for migrants was organized at CTC Carmelarem. The event, which aimed to bring together the migrant community for a festive celebration, was attended by a diverse group of migrants. The Indian Social Institute (ISI) was invited to participate in the program, which was marked by a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Fr. Francis Bala SJ was the chief guest for the event, and Fr. Samir Minj delivered a short message to the migrants, emphasizing the importance of community, solidarity, and support. His message resonated with the migrants, reinforcing the sense of unity and belonging among the migrants.

Mr. Amit, from the Peace and Reconciliation Unit was also present to assist with the E-Shram card registration. He helped migrants register for the E-Shram card, which offers various benefits for workers in the unorganized sector. The registration process was an essential part of the event, providing an opportunity for the migrants to access important social security services.

The program concluded with a festive spirit, as participants were encouraged to share in the joy of the upcoming Christmas season. The event was a success, fostering a sense of community and providing valuable support to the migrant workers.
