The three-day youth capacity training program was organized from 15th to 17th December 2023, by Social Inclusion & Democracy Unit of Indian Social Institute Bengaluru, in collaboration with Center for Non-Formal Education, Vijayapura. 30 youth took part (17 Boys & 13 Girls) for a comprehensive knowledge on understanding the challenges faced by women in various set-ups to live a dignified life and to know about the Panchayat Raj Act and making them know their role in Panchayat Raj.

A youth visionary Ms. Anita. C. Eeti from CNFE shares her experience that, she desperately wanted to do something good for the society. She says, ‘Education – it’s an important thing’ Because of education I got ‘Government Job at Anganwadi’. Furthermore, she says that, as a teacher, “I will sow the seeds of Importance of Education, in the lives of children’ at Adilshashi Nagar, in Vijayapura, for this is my contribution to my community”.

An energetic youth Mr. Shantappa Dashwant from Deepalaya, Indi;, testifies that, ‘I have understood my roles & responsibilities at my village Mavinahalli’. For the next three months January to March 2024, I will visit local Anganwadi, understand all the benefits and bring awareness about it to my people. Visiting government schools checking on the quality of mid-day meals, cross-verifying the children attendance & contribute in helping the drop-out students to come to school regularly”.

An active youth participant Ms. Chaitra. R. Hinchageri from JMJ-Devara-Hipparagi, Responded that ‘I have got enlightened about Panchayat Raj’. For the next three months January to March 2024, I will visit Gram Panchayat & submit the application on all the challenges faced by padaganur villagers with regard to good road, cleanliness, construction of new toilets and to educate my people about all the benefits available at Panchayat Raj.
