The three-day training program on People’s Entitlements, organized by the Indian Social Institute, Bengaluru, helped 43 youth understand their rights to entitlements. Participants learned about important documents like ration cards, voter IDs, Aadhaar, health cards and pensions, as well as how to get them. They were introduced to government schemes such as scholarships and skill development programs and trained to apply for certificates like birth, income, caste and disability certificates. The program gave them the confidence to claim their rights, improving their access to education, jobs and social services. It also encouraged them to actively support the growth of their communities.

The resource persons Dr. Chandra Mouli, Dr. A. Madhu, Dr. Ramoji Rao and Dr. D.Seetal equipped the youth with knowledge, confidence and responsibility as active citizens by sharing information about entitlements like ration cards, voter IDs, Aadhaar, health cards, pensions, and government schemes like scholarships and skill programs. They explained to the youth how to get these, where to apply, and how to approach the relevant departments. The youth understood better through active group discussions and chart presentations.. They also spoke on safety policies for children and women and encouraged the youth to spread the knowledge to others.
