A 3-day enlightening youth training took place at Jvala organization in Wayanad, Kerala from 25 to 27 August, 2023. This event marked the commencement of the fifth module, titled “Women and Mother Earth,” organized by Social Inclusion and Democracy of Indian Social Institute, Bengaluru (ISI-B). It was a collaborative effort that brought together esteemed organizations from Wayanad, including Tribal Unity for Development Initiative (Tudy), Joint Voluntary Action for Legal Alternatives (Ooru), and the Educational & Charity Trustee.

The beautiful setting of Wayanad provided the perfect backdrop for this transformational experience. Here, the collective consciousness of participants gathered to explore the profound relationship between women and the environment. The program was attended by 23 dynamic tribal youths, consisting of 9 inspiring females and 14 dedicated males, representing three collaborating organizations.

Throughout the event, participants engaged in numerous discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions. They gained a holistic understanding of how women in their roles as caretakers and nurturers, are elaborately connected to the well-being of Mother Earth. Through meaningful dialogues youth discussed on sustainable practices, conservation strategies, and the importance of preserving the delicate balance between humanity and the environment.

This fascinating three-day journey not only expanded horizons but also fostered a sense of community among individuals who shared a common passion for positive change. The vibrant energy of the participants infused every moment with inspiration, creating a wave of awareness.  The event was a powerful exploration of the bond between women and the environment, leaving a lasting impact on all those involved.
