The resource persons provided practical training on personal hygiene, balanced nutrition, healthy food habits, disease prevention, emergency first aid, and the immediate care required during accidents and medical emergencies. Participants also learned how to identify the early signs and symptoms of common illnesses, provide basic first response, and guide migrants in accessing timely medical care.
The programme brought together 73 migrant leaders from different parts of Bengaluru. The training sessions were facilitated by Dr. Nancy, Dr. Kiran Kispotta, Dr. Madhu, Dr. Mamta, Dr. Reshma Kerketa, along with seven MBBS students (belonging to Chotanagpur tribal communities) from St. John’s Medical College.
