


On 7th March 2024, the Labour Migration Unit of ISI Bengaluru, in collaboration with Max Innovation and Solutions, organized a session on substance abuse for migrant construction workers at Villa 92, Urban Serenity, Bengaluru. The session, held for workers from Shriram Property Company, saw 95 participants from Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Assam.
Fr. Samir Minj spoke about the harmful effects of substance abuse, emphasizing its impact on health, family, finances, and work. The interactive session allowed workers to share their struggles, highlighting how addiction affects their lives. Fr. Samir assured them of ISI Bengaluru’s support and explained the role of MAIN in assisting migrants.
He also encouraged workers to register for the E-Shram Card and Ayushman Bharat Health Card to access government benefits. The session fostered awareness and commitment to a healthier life, reinforcing ISI Bengaluru’s dedication to migrant welfare.
