“We now know that change starts with us. We can think clearly and act collectively” – Pravalika.

The Basic Module IV, Understanding and Reducing Vulnerabilities, capacity building training provided knowledge on Constitutional Rights, Legal Safeguards to about 42 youth leaders. The training helped them with learnings from historic leaders such as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Savitribai Phule, Periyar, Veeresalingam, and Birsa Munda who challenged oppressive systems and became role models for the people in the margins. The youth from rural and marginalized backgrounds experienced a new vision for justice, leadership, and community transformation.

Inspired by the great leaders’ life stories, Ms Anitha, the coordinator from LODI SSS said, It lit a fire in us to fight for equality in society”.

Youth engagement was not passive — it was participatory and passionate. They asked questions, shared experiences, and drew actionable community maps. They identified missing services and linked them with available government schemes, ready to return to their villages not just with ideas, but with plans.

Mubeen Khan, an MSW final-year student expressed that he wants to bring social change. Dalits and minorities live in poverty and are ignored. Now I see that true justice means ensuring them job, safety and above all letting their voice heard.
